An Agona Swedru Circuit Court has remanded two suspected armed robbers for allegedly robbing Mr Kwesi Abban Buabeng, an auto mechanic.
They are Augustus Arthur, a taxi driver, and Kwesi Odoom, a footballer.
In the dock with them and charged with dishonestly receiving was Abena Attah, a trader. They would re appear on November 18.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Ivy Agadia of Agona Swedru Divisional Police told the Court that Arthur was a friend of Mr Buabeng and lodged with him for about one week before the robbery.
She said on October 27, Arthur borrowed a mobile phone from the wife of Mr Buabeng and made calls.
At midnight Mr Buabeng heard an unusual noise at the back of his house and woke up Arthur.
The robbers, numbering about seven, broke into the house and inflicted cutlass wounds on Mr Buabeng and his wife.
The robbers took away one lap top computer, two mobile phones, 10 pieces of cloth, jewellery, shirts and trousers and 3,600 Ghana cedis.
The Prosecutor said the behaviour of Arthur after the incident made the Police to suspect he was the brain behind the robbery and was arrested.
Abena Attah was also arrested upon a tip off that she was buying stolen items and when the Police searched her room some of the items were found.
