The Manager and two other officers of the Asante-Mampong Municipal Health Insurance Scheme, have been asked to proceed on leave immediately. The order to Mr Rockson Bronnie, Manager, Michael Opoku, Accountant, and Felix Donkor, Claims Manager, was to pave way for an audit of the operations of the scheme.
Mr Daniel Appau Ohyeamamg, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), announced this at an emergency stakeholders meeting to discuss the huge indebtedness of the scheme, at Asante-Mampong.
Mr Daniel Amanaimpong, the Management Information System Officer, has been appointed to act as the Scheme's Manager while Mr Christian Boaran has been asked to act as Accountant and Joseph Yankey Kodua has been appointed to act as Claims Manager.
It is believed that the scheme owe a total of about GH� 1,365,441.01 to some health facilities.
