The Akim Oda Magistrates Court has sentenced a 22 year- old woman to 18 months imprisonment for breaking into a salon and stealing items worth GHc385.70.
Afua Kyerewaa who had a similar case against her was convicted on her own by the court presided over by Mr. Frank Annor.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Kwadwo Ahenkorah told the court that the complainant Madam Akosua Asantewaa is a hairdresser at Akim Abenase in the Eastern Region.
He said at about 1900 hours on November 13, Kyerewaa approached Madam Asantewaa in her salon to weave her hair.
The following day, the complainant went to the shop to find out that some of the items she uses for business had been stolen.
Chief Inspector Ahenkora said upon a tip off Afua was arrested and arraigned.
