The Atwima-Nwabiagya District Assembly has acquired a 200-acre stretch of land for development into a Technology Centre.
The Centre, a joint venture of the Assembly and the Trade and Industry Ministry, would provide skill training to the district's teaming unemployed youth.
Mr Charles Oteng, District Coordinating Director, was speaking at a meeting with students from the Ghana Armed Forces and Staff College during a study tour.
He said the assembly had intensified its' drive towards attracting foreign investors into agro-processing in the area to add value and raise returns to farmers.
Mr Oteng identified chieftaincy and land disputes as major threats to peace and security in the district.
Atwima-Nwabiagya is made up of 126 communities and has six area councils.
