A Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded a 23-year-old farmer, Augustine Kwame Sarkodie, into prison custody for dealing in cocaine.
His plea was not taken and would re-appear on January 6, next year.
Police Inspector Philip Yao Bebli told the Court presided over by Mr Justice Richard Mac Kogyapwah that the accused was arrested upon a tip off on December 11, at Effiduase in the Sekyere East District.
He said an informant posed as a customer and asked Sarkodie to sell to him some of the stuff.
In the middle of the transaction, the police swooped on him and seized six wraps of the substance suspected to be cocaine.
An amount of GH25.00 believed to be proceeds from the sale was found on him.
Sarkodie in his caution statement admitted the offence.
Samples of the stuff had been sent to the Police Forensic Laboratory for examination.
