The body of a woman suspected to be murdered was found in the bush at Akwatia at the weekend.
The body of Mawusi Akakpo, 19, an unemployed, was discovered by a search party led by the Akwatia Asafo Company in the bush near a church.
The Akwatia District Police Commander S.K Odame told the GNA that the deceased who was wearing a skirt and blouse had a deep cut on her left rib and was found in a decomposed state.
Mr Odame said the woman left home on April 08, but it was not until April 13, that the family reported that she was missing and the next day discovered dead in the bush.
He said the body of the deceased had been sent to the police hospital in Accra for autopsy.
Meanwhile, a man, whose identity was not disclosed by the police, but who is suspected to have been involved in the murder is helping the police in their investigations.
