The Council of State is to convene an emergency meeting with President Mills to discuss recent troubles in some parts of the country.
A member of the Council of State, Dr Ben Glover, said they have scheduled June 27 to meet with the President and find ways of arresting the situation which many have described as worrying ahead of the December elections.
Were going to discuss some of these problems with him [Mills] and well take a joint decision. Ghana is not used to ethnic problems and its strange to see some of these happenings. We want peace in this country, Dr. Glover said.
In recent times, there have been some troubles in some parts of the country, some of which have some ethnic undertone at places such as Ekumfi Narkwa in the Central region and Hohoe in the Volta region.
