Four children from the same family have lost their lives in the Kubo River in the Bunduri District of the Upper West Region.
The children were drowned when they went to the riverside to look for water melon, which is largely grown there at the River banks.
Family members gathered by the river which is the main receptacle of Burkina Fasos Barge Dam spillage hoping that rescue workers will retrieve the bodies of the children.
But Assemblyman for the area, Amali Mbu told XYZ News Upper West Regional correspondent, Musah Lansah that only one body has been retrieved.
