Asamoah Boateng aka Asabee, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman West, has left Accra for London at the invitation of the British government.
The invitation is to enable the former MP to attend the funeral of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Asabee, one-time resident of London, was an active player in local British politics, occupation which earned him a place among top politicians, little wonder the invitation to attend the funeral of the Iron Lady of British politics.
The former MP, who was also a minister in the Kufuor administration, contested the same constituency on the ticket of the NPP.
He is currently in court challenging the authenticity of the results.
According to the invitation, the funeral takes place today at the St. Paul�s Cathedral in London.
