Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku III, Paramount Chief of Ada Traditional Area, has released the date and programme lined-up for the celebration of Asafotu-Fiami, annual festival of the chiefs and people of Big Ada.

The grand durbar would be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Presbyterian Junior High School Park at Big Ada.

Nene Akuaku, who is also the Chairman of the 2013 Asafotu-Fiami Planning Committee, made the announcement at a meeting held at Big Ada.

The week-long celebration would start from August 1 with a cleanup exercise of various public places in the major communities.

The Paramount Chief used the occasion to invite all Ghanaians and foreigners to come and observe the rich culture of the people of Big Ada.

Mr Jonathan Dorkutso, Secretary of the Paramount Stool, said this year’s festival would be used to showcase the rich culture, traditions and the resources in the traditional area as a medium of wooing investors to the area.
