A Total of 134 cholera cases have been recorded at Asamankese, the capital of Upper West Akim District in the Eastern Region, Francis Luguniah, Municipal Hospital Administrator, has told DAILY GUIDE on Thursday.
According to him, 11 cases and one death had been recorded since August this year, and called for concerted efforts from stakeholders to help address it.
He further expressed worry that despite regular education on radio and other media outlets, cholera cases in the district are increasing on daily basis.
Mr Luguniah advised all individuals in the community to adhere to healthy sanitation practices in order to help combat the disease.
