Armed robbers have attacked an STC bus en route to Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou.
The bus set off from Accra on Wednesday and was attacked at Buipe, a small town in the Northern Region.
According PEACE FM correspondent in Tamale, Kwabena Ntow, the armed robbers who had laid ambush, engaged in a shootout with two police personnel who were escorts in the bus with registration number ER 2537-11.
The police officers overpowered the armed robbers who allegedly disappeared into a nearby bush. The bus subsequently stopped at Tamale for the injured to be attended to.
