Government has renewed the Curfew imposed on Nakpanduri Township and its Environs including Kpatritinga, Bonbila, Borgni, and Sakogu communities with effect from Friday, April 24, 2015.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Mark Owen Woyongo, Minister of Interior on Friday indicated that the curfew period will be between 2200 hours to 0400 hours each day.
The curfew was renewed by the Minster on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council.
According to the statement, Government is urging Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, the Youth and People of the areas to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
There is a total ban on all persons in the respective areas from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon.
The statement noted that any individual found with arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
