Former President John Agyekum Kufuor returned home Wednesday night after about three weeks overseas’ visit.
During the period, the former President delivered the 126th graduation speech at the Delaware State University (DSU), where he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Humane Letters for his exceptional leadership qualities and service towards uplifting humanity.
President Kufuor was the first former head of state to speak at DSU.
About 500 students graduated at the ceremony attended by the Senator for Delaware and Members of the State House of Representatives among others.
His speech was on ‘Global Leadership and the Youth: The Need for a Transformation.’
Mr Kufuor also visited the Vatican, Italy, where together with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, he was received in audience by Pope Francis.
