One more person has been charged in connection with the murder of the Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu. Vincent Bosso, a phone repairer, was arraigned before an Accra district court Tuesday for his role in the killing.
He has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Bosso was named as an accomplice by the prime suspect, Daniel Asiedu who is also facing charges over the attack.
Bosso confessed to the police that he indeed accompanied prime suspect, Daniel Asiedu to the house of the late MP but said he never entered the premises. After helping him enter the house, Bossu was said to have taken to his heels following the scuffle between the suspect and the late MP.
He was arrested in his hideout.
The case has been adjourned to May 18.
The opposition lawmaker was stabbed multiple times to death at his East Legon residence in February. The police has arrested a prime suspect Daniel Asiedu. Preliminary investigations suggested that the assailants may have used a ladder to enter the MP’s room via his window to execute their plan.
