At least three students were stabbed Friday at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) following a clash between some students of the University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
A UCC student who was returning from night studies is reportedly paralysed as a result of several stabs he received from his attackers.
An eye witness narrated that some residents of Commonwealth Hall and Unity Hall who had been invited for a programme at Oguaa Hall ended up attacking one another after a misunderstanding.
Although, he does not know the true cause of the misunderstanding, the witness said the incident became intense after some residents of ATL hall also joined the skirmishes.
Several properties worth thousands of cedis belonging to Oguaa hall have been destroyed, the eye witness said.
The hall's bus and vehicles belonging to some lecturers were all vandalised.
Meanwhile, a contingent of police and military personnel have been dispatched to the campus to stop any possible reprisal and to maintain peace.

I agree with you.
You were rowdy in your days. Your children have learnt from your rowdiness and improved on it in the wrong direction.
All those games should just be abolished i don't recall any university sports person winning Gold for Ghana
Shame on all of us. I was a student in Legon and Cape Varsity in the 70s and even though students then were sometimes naughty and silly I do not recall students using this kind of violence on each other. Throwing chairs and stones as we did is one thing stabbing someone is another. Where is the society going now? We all need to go back to basics. Parents be parents not just providers of material things for our kids. Our kids need moral and ethical guidance not 4 Wheel drive cars and Money. Hope the injured recover and that this will be a warning to others.
Ur parents try soo hard to give you better education and you go school to full. Students must know that the only investment your parents could give which no one can take it away from you is education.
