The Accra Circuit, Court has acquitted and discharged the woman who was standing trial for allegedly inserting dildo into the vagina of another woman.
The accused person, Queenie Akuffo, was acquitted and discharged on Wednesday morning after the court, presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, ruled that the alleged victim consented to the act.
According to the court, a video documenting the alleged act revealed that the alleged victim was in full support of the act
The judge held that the video showed that when Queenie inserted the dildo into the victim's vagina, she (victim ) was fully aware and did not protest.
In the said video, the judge held that the victim was seen urging the accused person to perform the act.
The victim, Janet Amankwa, told the court that she was intoxicated and, therefore, she did not know what happened to her.
But the judge held that in her evidence, it was revealed that during interaction with a doctor, she stated that the accused person inserted the dildo into her vagina.
"If she was intoxicated and did not know what happened, how could she tell the doctor what happened to her", the judge said.

what is a dildo?
what a disgrace
THIS JUDGE PAA, WAS THE LADY STILL INTOXICATED WHEN TALKING WITH THE DOCTOR? WONT SHE KNOW THAT SOMETHING HAS BEEN INSERTED INTO HER WHEN SHE BECOMES OF HERSELF? IS IT LAWFUL IN GHANA INSERTING DILDO INTO ANOTHER WOMAN EVEN IF SHE CONSENT TO IT? JUDGES LET US HAVE FAITH IN THE JUDICIARY WAI
from day one i knew the judiciary wanted to free the accused, that is why they delayed the case over a year and gave ruling when they knew the public has forgotten about the case, God would punish that judge
I'm not surprise the Daily Graphic in Ghana wrote "acquitted and discharged" because even lawyers do say same in Ghana. It was so embarrassing to hear a lawyer on Peace FM Morning Show sometime back with Kwame Sefa Kayi explaining & justifying the phrase "acquitted and discharged" It is either the person is discharged from the case or acquitted. That's the correct law terminology. upon consideration of the record of the case and the documents submitted therewith, and after hearing the submissions of the accused and the prosecution in this behalf, the Judge considers that there is not sufficient ground for proceeding against the accused, he shall discharge the accused and record his reasons for so doing. On the other hand, to be acquitted from a case is to be relieve from a charge of fault or crime; declare not guilty. This means after completing the evidence when prosecution failed to prove the guilt of the accused then court will acquit the accused. That is Acquittal can be done only when the trial concludes. If after evaluating the evidence given by the prosecution, the judge considers that there is no evidence that the accused has committed the offence, the judge acquits the Accused person. So for people especially in Ghana to dwell on the phrase "acquitted & discharged shows how fixed the Black African is mentally.
This woman paaa offfffui men are all around and u preferred a dildo" instead and yet u know what was inserted to u but u claim to be intoxicated, offffuiiiiii
