A man has lost ¢9,000 after robbers snatched the cash he had withdrawn from a bank at North Industrial Area, Thursday.
The money was in a polythene bag along with a phone when four men on two motorbikes snatched the bag in broad daylight shortly after he walked off the bank premises.
"We were all surprised", an eyewitness Hannah told myjoyonline.com. She said the man looked shocked and after a while walked away.
The eyewitness said this is the third of such incident in a week. Last Wednesday, robbers took 4,000 cedis in a similar fashion.
The following Thursday, another fell victim to the robbers who escaped with 2,000 cedis.
A Lebanese man has been shot dead shortly after he went to withdraw cash from the Bank at the Tema Industrial Area, Wednesday morning.
Gun-wielding armed robbers trailed the man popularly known as Alhaji after he left the bank at about 11:30 am in his Toyota Corolla vehicle.
An eyewitness said the deceased's car was blocked by the armed gang who then shot him and bolted with an amount believed to be 200,000 cedis.
