Areas to be affected are Kasoa, Weija, Gbawe, Malam, New and Old Bortianor, Dansoman, Mamprobi, Korle-Bu, Awudome Estates and Kwashiman.

The rest are Anyaa, Tesano, Abeka, Sowutuom, North Kaneshie, Kaneshie , Odorkor, Dakuman, Santamaria, and surrounding areas.

“Supply will be restored as soon as the work is completed,” the Water Company assured, and expressed regrets for the inconveniences the shutdown is likely to cause to the consuming public.

The Weija plant, with an average production of 120,000 cubic meters of water per day is the major source of water supply in Accra,

According to the Water Company, water demand in Accra West is mostly for domestic purposes with a number of low-scale business units, shops, hotels, restaurants and educational institutions.
