The Trades Union Congress (TUC), Ashanti Region, as part of the 2019 May Day celebration has announced that it will be organising a health walk on April 27.
The health walk, which would be held together with a free health screening and a cooking competition, seeks to enhance the well-being of workers.
It is to foster unity among institutions as well as have a well-informed workforce within the Region.
Mr Ahmed Swallah, the Event and Marketing Manager, in a statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said on April 29 the TUC would organise a corporate seminar for institutions and embark on a massive parade on May 1st.
He said the May Day celebration is on the theme: “Sustainable Pensions for All; the Role of Our Social Partners” and it will be climaxed with a dinner dance.
It called on institutions to support the initiative to ensure its success.
