A 25-year-old graduate of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has allegedly slashed the throat of his brother to death at Gomoa Obuase in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.

The suspect who has been identified as James Annan is alleged to have murdered by Michael Botwe who was due for graduation from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in July this year.

Community sources have told Adom News’ Kofi Adjei that the two brothers had an argument while at the farm but returned home with the matter settled.

But as the deceased rested under a tree in their home, the suspect, with a knife in hand, went to him and asked him to raise his head so he could remove something from under his chin. The sources said it was upon raising his head that the suspect slashed his throat with the knife he was wielding.

The deceased’s mother, Nana Adwoa, has confirmed the happening, saying she was shattered by receipt of the news.
