The Deputy Minority Leader and MP for Lawra/Nandom, Hon. Ambrose Derry has condemned the attack on Ghana�s Ambassador to Guinea, H.E. Mr Dominic Aboagye by some Guinean Security Forces, describing the incident as highly unfortunate.
Hon. Derry who spoke to Peace FM in an interview today, Thursday, August 13, 2009 said, the incident totally contravenes all applicable conventions which require governments to protect diplomatic personnel working in their countries.
The Deputy Minority Leader further said, the incident is the least expected in view of the friendly relation which has existed between Ghana and Guinea since the two countries gained independence. He called on the Government of Guinea to render unqualified apology to Ghana and bring the perpetrators of the assault to book.
