Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has asserted that the gnashing of teeth and sorrowful wailing of a loved one during periods of bereavement will be the lot of Ghanaians should Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings be elected President of the country.
According to him, the former First Lady will be a worst example of a President in the event of her beating President Mills to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearership slot.
The NDC will in the early part of the month of July, battle for the destiny of the party at their Sunyani Congress to elect the candidate who will lead them into the 2012 General Elections.
The contest is now a two-horse race between President Mills and Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings following the inability of Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah to meet the deadline for the submission of nomination forms.
Speaking on Peace FMs Kokrokoo Morning show, the outspoken journalist minced no words in declaring that Mrs. Rawlings will be soundly trashed in the NDCs presidential primaries. He, however, quickly added that in the unlikely event that the delegates elect Nana Konadu as the flagbearer; the NDC will definitely lose the 2012 General Election.
I am very happy that Mrs. Rawlings is saying she will not compromise her decision to contest so we all see what happensShe will be soundly trashed at the NDCs presidential primaries next montha woman who can proudly say on radio and justify the use of a broken bottle to shave off the hair of a young man (identification haircut) is not fit to be PresidentIf Nana Konadu becomes the flagbearer of the NDC, every Ghanaian will mourn for the destiny of the countryif she becomes the president of Ghana, the whole country will be thrown into a state of bereavement, he blurted.
To him, should the former First Lady be given the mantle to lead the NDC by the partys delegates, the NDC will have no campaign message to convince Ghanaians to retain them in power and the electorate will not even consider the party as worthy of consideration in any national polls.
