The Brong-Ahafo (B\A) Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have refuted a statement made by Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, former first lady, that the executives kept some delegates indoors during her campaign tour of the Region recently.
A statement signed by Mr Opoku Atuahene, NDC Regional chairman, copied to Ghana News Agency, said it is not true that the executives kept the delegates indoors to prevent them from meeting Nana Konadu, aspiring NDC flagbearer.
It said The regional executives are challenging Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings to withdraw her statement because she and her team were received as a former First Lady and one of the contestants for the flagbearer of the great party, NDC.
The statement challenged Nana Konadu to mention areas where such bad behaviour occurred and said that delegates across the Region gave Nana Konadu the necessary respect and recognition.
It said: The entire regional executives consider this allegation by Nana Konadu against NDC Brong Ahafo Regional executives untrue.
The statement advised all delegates and non-delegates of NDC July congress to be disciplined before, during and after the congress.
