The Eighteen Constituencies in the Greater Accra where the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is holding its Primaries were packed with heavy security presence to ensure peace and safety.
A visit to some of the constituencies by the Ghana News Agency revealed the presence of large security personnel, deployed to ensure that delegates and party supporters do not breach the law.
Constable Patrick Tetteh Quarshie told the GNA that their presence was to step up security in order to ensure the safety of lives and property and would do everything in their capacity to control the large number of people at the polling stations.
Most of the party members expressed their appreciation of the presence of the security personnel and hoped the elections is conducted peacefully.
