A former Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Dr. Anthony Osei Akoto, has rubbished claims that some past government functionaries shredded official documents in relation to the GhC51 million judgment debt scandal before leaving office.

A deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, over the weekend alleged on Joy FMs current affairs programme, News File that Hon. Akoto and a former Chief of Staff, Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani, bolted with some vital documents to cover up their wrong deeds.

Reacting to the allegation, the Tafo/Pankrono constituency NPP lawmaker described Hon. Ablakwas statement as ridiculous. This is a ridiculous statement and I dont know where the NDC is trying to go to because you have been in office for the past three years; you are in your fourth year look at the type of allegation you are making, Hon. Akoto told Citi News.

He explained: We gave a file to the transition team, I met with them and told them if they need anything they can always ask me; I never took any file home.

They have gone to concoct plans to steal money from government and he thinks that they can get away with propaganda, it wont wash.
