Director of Operations of Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings (FONKAR), Ernest Owusu-Bempah, has rubbished reports of his "arrest" by the police.
Earlier reports monitored on Asempa FM, an Accra-based private radio station suggested that the FONKAR firebrand had been hauled before the police Criminal Investigations Department to substantiate his claim that Mrs Naadu Mills, the First Lady is a beneficiary of the largesse of Alfred Woyome, the embattled NDC financier.
Owusu-Bempah, in his umpteenth and perhaps most abrasive attack on the Mills administration, on Thursday accused the First Lady in flowery Twi on Boiling Point, a political discussion programme on Accra-based Oman FM that "Mrs. Naadu Mills collected $5 million from the Woyome judgment debt, an amount which he got with no contract arrangement with the government of Ghana.
However, when peacefmonline.com got through to FONKAR's Director of Operations, he dismissed the report saying he has having a swell time and was flummoxed to be inundated with calls from well-wishers seeking to know the veracity of his arrest by the police
"I've not been arrested...neither have i been invited...they (police) know where i live, if they believe i'm guilty of anything they should come and effect my arrest...i'm being bombarded with calls from friends and well-wishers all interested to know about my well-being..., Owusu Bempah told peacefmonline.com a short while ago.
More soon....
