The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ajumako-Enyan Essiam, Mr Ato Forson, has said the John Evans Atta Mills' Government has brought development to the area.
He mentioned water, electricity, heath, schools and roads as some of the improved sectors in the area. Mr Forson said these when he met with traditional rulers of Breman Essiam and Enyan Abaasa, after touring the areas with a team of contractors and engineers.
The team inspected 3.5 kilometers road at Breman Essiam, 1.5 kilometer road at Enyan Abaasa, and one kilometer road at Ajumako, the district capital.
Work on the 30 kilometer Nkwantanum- Assin Manso road, scheduled to be completed by December this year, was also inspected. Mr Ofori Frimpong, Director of Road Maintenance, Accra, leader of the team, said the necessary transactions and documentation covering the construction work had been approved.
He appealed to land owners to co-operate with the contractors to enable them finish the work on time. The District Chief Executive of Ajumako-Enyan Essiam , Mr Peter Light Koomson, appeal to the people to participate in the on-going biometric voters �registration exercise and stressed that the old votes registration cards are not valid.
