The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, has said he will violently resist anyone who tries to infringe on his freedom.
Mr. Vanderpuyes comment was in response to recent public outcry about his alleged involvement in occurrences at Odododiodio.
He was addressing some NDC members at a public forum organised by the Research and Advocacy Platform (RAP) in Accra.
In an interview with Citi News, Mr. Vandepuye said: Im not violent but Id violently resist anybody who tries to trample upon my rights because my rights and freedom that Im enjoying today have been achieved for me or have been bequeathed to me by people who made supreme sacrifices of their life."
He added: As such I would vehemently resist anyone who tries to take away that freedom and that right from me.
