Former President John Agyekum Kufuor and former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama paid their last respect to the late President John Evans Atta Mills at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra where he is lying in state.
Former President Kufuor, who was in a black mourning cloth and using a walking stick, was accompanied by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), some senior members of the party and NPP members of parliament, filed past the body.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu also filed past the body.
Former President Rawlings, who wore black suit with a strip of red cloth around his neck, stood at the foot of the bed and bowed at the body of the man who was his vice president for four years.
President Mills died on July 24 at the 37th Military Hospital and will be buried on August 10.
