Former President Rawlings has arrived at the Kumasi Sports Stadium where the National Democratic Party is having its National Delegates congress to elect its flagbearer.
Former President Rawlings arrived in the company of his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. Mrs. Rawlings is set to contest for the flabearership race of the NDP ahead of the December polls.
President Rawlings recently stated that he would support his wife if she decides to contest for the flagbarership slot of the NDP.
The party is scheduled the occasion to also launch the party's manifesto for the 2012 elections.
Meanwhile, some delegates of the party have bitterly complained about the failure of party executives to provide food and a 30 ghana cedis allowance promised them. The delegates threatened to boycott the congress if they are not provided with food by party executives.
