The National Democratic Congress (NDC) northern regional Chairman, Sofo Azorka, is predicting a drastic drop in voter support for the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the death of former Vice President Aliu Mahama.
Former President Kufuors former deputy is seen as an influential source of support for the NPP in the Northern region where he came from.
Aliu Mahamas death, according to Sofo Azorka portends doom for the NPP in that part of the country ahead of the December polls. The man is a man who wants to organize the NPP to come to power. Today hes not there. Who will organize it? he asked.
