The Eastern Regional branch of the Zongo for Mahama club of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed worry about the negative activities of some regional executives of the party.
They said some executives have hijacked the party and were working against its fortunes in the area.
Ms Azumi Adisa, the Regional Womens Organizer of the club, at a press conference in Koforidua on Wednesday, said the NDC would have attracted more floating voters but for the bad behaviour being exhibited by those executives.
She said if the situation should continue unchecked, it would dwindle the fortunes of the party and discourage many from working for it.
Ms Adisa appealed to President John Mahama to be wary of those people who are only interested in their own well being and appealed that President carefully considers the nomination of Mr Anthony Gyampo, the Regional Secretary of the party, as the Regional Minister as his contribution to the party has been well noted.
She said Mr Gyampo is a listening father who will help to promote the party in the region, since he through his great wisdom many in the Zongo communities were convinced to vote for the NDC.
