With all the turbulent rain in the just ended 100 days of President Mahama, a member of the communication team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Donkor Fuseini has stated that the President will go down in history as a legend in the country, irrespective of how people perceive him.

He recounted that the incident which led him to ascend on the throne is Legendre; in that he (President Mahama) went to work as a Vice President in the morning and returned home in the evening as President after the demise of Professor Mills.

Speaking on Okay FM as a panelist, the NDC communicator said that the historic aspect of President Mahama is when he used four months to campaign to retain power as a substantive President; adding that this is why the opposition NPP cannot comprehend the mystery surrounding his victory that he is the chosen one for Ghana.

He reiterated that the 2012 elections dispute is a way to make him lose focus on his promises to the country; adding that but he (President Mahama) in the midst of the distractions has stood tall and he is doing his work with unwavering mind.

Though the country is in hard days, the NDC communicator said that the President is doing his best to address the issues confronting the nation as out of the 250 mega watts deficits on the energy sector has been reduced to 80 mega watts deficits which has curtailed the erratic power supply in the country at the moment.

He further said that with the completion of the Takoradi T3 and the thermal plant in Navrongo, the electricity problems in the country is gradually diminishing; adding that NPP in power for 8 years could not start 1 mega watt operational facility for Ghana.

He hinted that despite the court case involving the President, he has allocated budget for 50 out of the 200 secondary schools he promised to establish throughout the country; in that he has commissioned a committee to start the University project in the Eastern Region.

He said, “this is a government and a leader which looks focused and stable - when people thought he will not have peace of mind to govern the country, he has held on to his commitment to solve all the challenges in the country”.

He again said that there is peace in the country which has promoted a lot of economic activities; in that there is investor confidence in the country because foreign investors are trooping into Ghana to start business.

“President Mahama is going down in history as one of the strongest and the most decisive President who has ever ruled in the country; and that he s gradually becoming a legend…”, he added.
