A large number of mourners, including NDC supporters and chiefs, on Tuesday thronged the residence of the late Theophilus Kow Ayanful, Central Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Party at Apam, to observe his one-week passing away.
The death of Mr Ayanful who was a former District Chief Executive for the area, was announced at Apam on Tuesday June 10..
He was 66 years.
Among dignitaries present were Madam Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Member of the Council of State, Madam Pokuah Sawyer, Deputy Central Regional Minister, and Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, Gomoa West District Chief Executive.
The Bishop of the Winneba Diocese of the Methodist church, Right Reverend Buaben Odoom, led a group of priests from the church to the function, described the late Ayanful as a hardworking member who had served his nation and the church.
The Gomoa West constituency branch of the NPP presented 40.00 Ghana Cedis and some cartons of soft drinks to the bereaved family.
