In the world of politics, discussing private matters of your opponent in mainstream media is a norm.

No one actually expected members of the National Democratic Congress to openly tip and endorse Nana Addo as the winner of Sunday's Special Delegate Congress considering the sleepless nights he served them during the 2008 and 2012 general elections.

But Deputy Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has predicted that Nana Akufo Addo will beat the six other candidates to emerge victorious after delegates have cast their ballot.

Kwakye Ofosu, becomes the second person after his Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr. Ade Coker, to openly make this pronouncement.

In an earlier interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Mr. Ade Coker admonished the six other aspirants, to immediately throw in the towel and allow the party's two-time Presidential candidate Nana Akufo Addo to run unopposed.

This same message was trumpeted by Mr. Kwakye Ofosu when he spoke on Joy FM on Saturday. According to him, there is enough evidence to show that an unfair playing field has been established by some members of the party to favour Nana Akufo Addo.

He explained that the recent impasse in the party is as a result of attempts, by the new national executives to neutralize the ground. According to him, because they have been outnumbered by admirers of Nana Akufo Addo, most of their suggestions have been dealt with a backlash.

To him, the NPP is still wallowing in a thick “cloud of confusion” and this gives the NDC the urge to beat them as they prepare to bring Nana Addo and his old team on board again in 2016.
