Provisional results of the Special delegates Congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) trickling in from the Volta Region indicates that Nana Addo Dankwa Afuko-Addo won a resounding victory in the Region.

In a report by Willian Gentu, Joe Dartey, Francis Addai Nimo, Steven Asamoah Boateng got single votes with Kofi Kunadu Apraku managing 2 votes.

Kofi Osei Ameyaw polled 4 whiles Alan Kyeremanteng and Nana Akufo-Addo had 14 and 28 respectively.

From these provisional results, the Volta Regional delegates of the NPP have spoken but it is not clear who would be joining Nana Akufo-Addo; whether it will be Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Joe Ghartey, Asamoah Boateng, Addai Nimoh and Kofi Konadi Apraku in the Delegates Congress to decide who becomes the presidential candidate of the party.
