Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an International Evangelist, on Tuesday asked Ghanaians to embrace national development as a project that is devoid of ethnicity, partisan politics and other parochial interests.

“Ghanaians should strive to build a nation with a solid foundation on Christ and not worldly sentiments and attachments that are threatening national cohesion,” he told Ghana News Agency ahead of a crusade in Accra dubbed: “Odododiodio for Christ.”

He said politics, which should be a vehicle for growth and development is becoming very divisive, adding: “Ghanaians should build Ghana and not political parties.”

Dr Tetteh, who is also an Economist as well as Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, is a guest speaker at the crusade being hosted by Bishop Charles Nartey of Faith Evangelical Mission Worldwide at Accra Central.

The event, which spans October 1- October 3, is on the theme: Teaching and Healing Service.”

Dr Tetteh said Ghanaians need an unshaken national loyalty, patriotism and a massive united front to confront the socio-economic challenges facing the country.

Bishop Nartey said the crusade is part of activities marking the 30th anniversary celebration of the church, which would be climaxed at the Odododiodio branch.

He said the event intends to bring hope to the hopeless and woo the youth at Odododiodio from social vices.

“The crusade is also in fulfilment of the Great Commission, which is winning souls for Christ,” he said.

The crusade would attract Chief Bishop Isaac Rex Noi, Founder of Faith Evangelical, Right Reverend Dr Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto, Anglican Bishop of Accra, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Dr Alfred Okoe Vanderpuiye, Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive and Mr Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye, Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo.
