Former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has decried the rate at which labour unions in Ghana have been embarking on industry strikes.
Governments decision not to respect the law which stipulates that the second tier of pensions, be privately managed with guidelines provided by the National Pension Regulatory Authority, has incurred the wrath of some labour unions and forced them to embark on an indefinite strike.
But Mr. Ofosu Ampofo described the situation as very disturbing and added that very soon, the nation would smash records in the Guinness Book as the only country in the world where industry actions are as countless as sea sand.
