Political Activist Dr Sekou Nkrumah has said former first Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and her National Democratic Party are better off rejoining their mother partyNational Democratic Congressthan supporting the main opposition New Patriotic Party.
He said like the CPP, PNC and other smaller parties in the country, the NDP is insignificant in Ghanas political space, and, therefore, a return to the NDC will bode well for the former first Lady.
Dr Nkrumah told XYZ Breakfast Show host Moro Awudu Tuesday that Mrs Agyemang Rawlings should aim at repositioning herself within the NDC with that strategy.
A delegation of the NDP led by Chairman Dr Josiah Aryeh visited NPP Flag-bearer Nana Akufo-Addo Monday to endorse his candidature. Dr Aryeh, former General Secretary of the governing NDC, said Ghana needed Akufo-Addos leadership to succeed.
