A student from the University of the Cape Coast (UCC) was injured when members of pro-NDC and pro-NPP groups clashed on campus.
Members of the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) and the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TESCON) of the University clashed Saturday morning over a venue.
A student, Derrick Agyei Yeboah who spoke to Adom News said TESCON members had scheduled a general meeting at their usual venue but when they turned up for the meeting, they discovered the venue which they had booked was now been used for a congress of the NDC.
He continued that as part of preparations for the congress, the students belonging to the TEIN group replaced the posters of the NPP with NDC colours.
This resulted in the clash which led to the clash between the two groups with the police intervening.
One student, he said, was injured as a result of clash. The victim has been sent to hospital for treatment.
