Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, says residents of the metropolis are excited about the ongoing National Delegates' Congress of the NDC there because they are making money.
According to him, todays congress which is expected to elect new national executives for the ruling party has tremendously affected trading activities in the town.
Speaking to Starr News, Bonsu said the organisation of the congress in the area perceived to be the stronghold of the opposition New Patriotic Party has been smoothed.
Everything is going smoothly, it has not been difficult organising this congress.
People are making money. People are excited, vendors are happy and hoteliers are happy because people have bombarded Kumasi and as a Mayor, thats what I want, he stated.
Over 4000 delegates of the NDC are voting today, Saturday December 20 to elect new national executives to manage the affairs of the party for the next four years.
