A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, has appealed to politicians and persons in authority to use the birth of Christ to pursue service rather than power, truth rather than lies, and compassion rather than indifference.
'It is my hope and prayer that the birth of Jesus Christ will compel politicians to love their enemies rather than hate them, to forgive rather than condemn, to reconcile rather than divide, and to serve others sacrificially rather than serve oneself selfishly, he added.
In a Christmas message, he advised politicians to not lead the nation astray but seek to improve the condition of all mankind.
He also congratulated all NDC newly elected executives from the branch, constituency, regional and national levels and assured them of his preparedness to work with them to ensure victory for President John Dramani Mahama in 2016.
