The mounting of campaign billboards in Ghana by Nigerian politicians will have no impact on the voting pattern of Nigerians living in Ghana, pollster Ben Ephson has observed.

Several political parties including, the ruling government in Africa’s most populous nation have erected their billboards in Ghana’s capital Accra with the view of wooing the numerous Nigerians residing in the country to vote for them in the country’s upcoming February 14 Presidential and senatorial polls.

But Ephson told Ultimate FM Thursday, the move is a complete waste of money. “It is a useless waste of money… it’s about politicians being naive and power-drunk. “The money could have been used to buy “okada” for constituency officers to spread their campaign message,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the lead contender to President Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari, has rejected claims that he did not obtain his school-leaving certificate. Candidates must have it as a minimum requirement to run for office.

Mr Buhari said the governing party was trying to divert attention away from campaign issues such as unemployment, insecurity and corruption.

One paper has obtained a copy of his results from his former school showing he graduated in 1961 but failed maths.
