Head of Political Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has asked President John Mahama to resign his post in the face of the dibilitating power crisis.
The outspoken lecturer who was on Fox FM morning show Monday, told the host, “we don’t need to be told that we are suffering. Productivity is at an all time low”, adding that resigning was the honorable thing to do.
“Infact the President should save Ghana from further decline and resign”, he said, adding that no level of explanations regarding the energy situation would suffice at this stage.
He also accused the government of putting the cart before the horse in its attempt to develop the nation without doing well to fix the power situation.
Dr. Richard Amoako Baah also sounded alarm bells that Ghana is broke. He says “what we are doing with the IMF indicates the country is flat on its belly”.
Meanwhile, Brong Ahafo regional executives of the New Patriotic Party have announced another episode of the Y’abre demonstration to be held in Techiman on 27th march, 2015. They believe Techiman is a strategic location for the event because it is the boiling pot of political activity in the Brong Ahafo.
