Communication team member of the ruling NDC, a few days ago, verbally abused actress Yvonne Nelson and Lydia Forson for their effort to campaign against Ghana’s frustrating power crisis which is yet to be solved by the Mahama-led government.
Alhaji Halidu Haruna referred to the celebrities as ‘prostitutes and irresponsible’ ladies on his Facebook wall and later faced the wrath not only from concern Ghanaians but from his own party members. This led to him rendering an unqualified apology to the celebrities and to all who were affected by his comment.
Surprisingly, the remorseful NDC man has revealed that, he will reconcile with the actresses on the day they will organise their campaign dubbed #DumsorMustStop Vigil.
According to him, he will be among the thousands expected to walk the streets of Accra today, to protest against the ever-worsening power crisis.
“I will join them, dusmor indeed must stop…,” he said on Asempa FM’s political programme on Saturday adding that his reason for joining the vigil is because it has been tagged non-partisan.
