Peacefmoline.com is reliably informed that the New Patriotic Party's National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong could not make it to the funeral of the late Adams Mahama.
The latter was attacked and killed by two assailants when they poured a solution believed to be acid on him.
Following his death, two people including a brother of the NPP's National Chairman have been arrested by the Ghana Police.
It is understood that the duo absented themselves from the gathering based on security instruction. The threat was issued when Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia led an NPP delegation to the residence of the late regional chairman on Friday ahead of the funeral.
Speaking on behalf of the group that issued the threat, their leader stated that “We have given a list of some members of this family that we would not want to see them here tomorrow – It is not a mere saying. You are hearing people saying they don’t want to see the National Chairman and the General Secretary here. It is not a joke”.
