‘Bluffing’ is well accepted in politics - any politician is required to have a distinct craving for power and a skill in deceit, especially when it party is in power.
But according to the Communications Director of the National Democratic Party [NDP], Mr Ernest Owusu Bempah, such bluster by some members of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] is nonsensical.
He explained that the NDC’s continuous self-praise of its developmental projects across the country is rubbish.
“My worry is that, they [NDC] always say we have done this here…we have done that there. We have built schools here and contracted roads there. But I am sorry to tell them that any idiot can build schools if entrusted with the destiny of Ghana” he said on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Mo Tie
According to him – “Ghanaians never forced the NDC to rule us, they rather pleaded with the electorates to vote for them, so if they are using tax payers money for developmental projects, why this attitude?”
Owusu Bempah’s assertion was in response to NDC’s communicator, Bernard Anim-Piesie's remarks on the same platform that the NDC is transforming Ghana through some developmental projects.
“It is only in Ghana and precisely from the NDC that you will hear such childish talk. They [NDC] don’t understand leadership…they don’t understand governance.
"...What is the policy direction of this NDC government that can change the lives of the people forever? Ex-President Rawlings had his policy same as Ex-President Kufour. President Mahama should also tell us about his policy apart from ‘Edey Be k3k3’” he said on NEAT FM
