The 2012 presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Abu Sakara Foster says the party has what it takes to take Ghana from its current state of dependency.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Greater Accra Regional Congress of the CPP on Sunday, Dr. Abu Sakara said the ownership of the country’s economy should return to Ghanaians.
“We talk about ownership of Ghana by Ghanaians; after all we spoke for freedom and spoke for self determination.”
“We are not saying that we should abandon interaction with all global financial institutions, but what we are saying is engage with them with a plan and in such a way that your own interests are paramount and that is what we mean by self determination”.
The party on Sunday held its Greater Accra Regional Congress as part of preparations towards the 2016 elections.
