The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday launched its biometric membership cards for members in the Volta Region in Ho.
The new cards are to help identify “real” members and would be used in the impending parliamentary and presidential primaries of the Party.
Madam Helen Adjoa Ntoso, Volta Regional Minister launched the cards at an extended Regional Executive meeting of the Party in Ho.
She noted that the introduction of the new cards was expected to make the Party more attractive to the public and urged members to use the new cards to “win” people into the NDC.
“There is some excitement in the people about our new cards. This is good, so we must welcome and invite more to join us,” Madam Ntoso stated.
She charged the Executives to begin one-on-one and door-to-door campaigns to propagate the achievements of the Party.
The Executives discussed reports on constituency biometric registrations and guidelines for primaries.
Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, NDC Volta Regional Chairman said political campaign for the 2016 presidential elections is the responsibility of every member of the Party and cautioned against complacency.
